The Pavel Florensky School of Theology

Pavel The Pavel (Paul) Florensky School (or College) of Theology and Ministry (in short PFS) is an academic unit within Euclid University extension. Conceived by a panel of former theological students, the programs are designed to deliver essential theological knowledge without wasting any time, while building a solid foundation for life-long studies and academic writing.

PFS offer several unique features:

    * an extensive overview of Church history
    * a particular focus on the patristic heritage of Christianity
    * a large number of debate-based courses
    * a focus on ecumenical dialogue and dialogue with Islam
    * an in-depth reflection on the theme of science and faith
The School makes extensive use of multi-format and multi-media courses to deliver compelling degree programs.

Each degree roadmap features courses originating from a variety of sources: ETWN (real audio), Safarix (PDF textbooks), Teaching Company (audio cassettes, VHS, DVD), book-driven classes (Amazon) and debates (AOMin).

PFS offers subspecialies in:

          o Roman Catholic Theology
          o Eastern Orthodox Theology
          o Reformed Theology
          o Comparative Theology
          o Islamic Studies (2006)

Because PFS is not a US-based institution, and therefore non-ATS dependent, it is able to offer distance-based M.Div. programs, provided that a local pastoral practicum can be arranged.
